Meet the Nokia 1, HMD's Gateway to the Smartphone World

The new Nokia 6 is the upgraded version of last year's Nokia 6 and it is an Android One smartphone that comes pre-installed with Google Assistant. HMD Global says it wants to expand the definition of what a feature phone can be with the Nokia 8110 4G - a device it refers to as part of the "Originals" family alongside the Nokia 3310.

We suspect that this is partly enabled by the more powerful Qualcomm platform that it's running on. It comes with 64GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD card up to 256GB.

It is backed up by the 3,800 mAh and despite such a powerful hardware. Of course, Android Oreo is on the agenda.

Reloading the legendary Nokia 8110, this 4G feature phone comes complete with the iconic curved slider design. Nokia 7 Plus powers with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660. There is a 5MP rear camera with an LED flash along with a 2MP front camera, both of which are fixed focus. Previous rumors hinted at a Nokia smartphone with penta-lens and Carl Zeiss optics for this year, and the rumored name was Nokia 10.

Next up is the Nokia 7 Plus.

Android Go smartphones will be equipped with lightweight versions of important and commonly used apps while maintaining the core features and functions. With that, the phone will come powered by the latest iteration of Android and will stay updated with the latest security and firmware updates. It is priced at Euro 249 and will be going on sale starting early April. Its display measures 5.5 inches in the old 16:9 aspect ratio and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080.

Connectivity options on Nokia 1 include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and Micro USB 2.0. It will have a glass back and an in-screen fingerprint sensor, plus a water repellent coating.

On the imaging front, the Nokia 8 Sirocco has a 12+13MP ZEISS powered dual camera setup at the rear with 2X optical zoom and the ability to shoot images with depth of field effects. All three cameras have the Zeiss branding. The phone will also feature a 3.5mm headphone jack, and is likely to come with 1,000fps video recording, 3D face scanner and single-lens camera, as well as a 3D sensor front camera.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco follows the characteristic design language of the all new Nokia lineup, but it distinguishes itself from the rest by its display.

With its new variants in the pipeline, Nokia will be looking forward towards hitting the mid-range market focusing on the sale numbers.

HMD Global also unveiled its first-ever Android One smartphone: the Nokia 6.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco is made out of stainless steel, well, its frame is, as a glass panel is included on the back of the device.

The all-new Nokia Sirocco succeeds the company's current flagship smartphone - Nokia 8 - that launched in September a year ago.

Motorola is all set to unveil its G series at the MWC 2018.
