The Jaguar I-Pace also gets stylish LED DRLs, newly designed alloy wheels and ORVM integrated turn signal lights. "It moves us dramatically closer to our vision of a clean, safe and sustainable future". 30 minutes of charge gives about 80 miles range.

Based on 50kW DC charger.

It will be offered with an eight-year battery warranty for that extra peace of mind, along with 21,000-mile/two-year servicing intervals.

Like the concept vehicle, the I-Pace has a very short hood allowing for as much room as possible inside. The vehicle has the silhouette and physical footprint of a crossover or compact SUV, but it's also created to make the most of its interior and luggage space, with fold-flat rear seats and almost 400 gallons of total interior volume with that configuration.

The cutting-edge technology flows over into the interior as well. And, like a Tesla, the I-PACE will constantly update itself over the air.

"After overnight charging they'll wake up every morning with a "full tank of fuel", he enthused.

The I-Pace will pack 394 horsepower and 512 pound-feet of torque in its standard two motor, all-wheel drive configuration. That's good enough to propel the I-Pace from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 4.5 seconds. The instantaneous performance is matched with exceptional ride comfort and engaging driving dynamics.

The mid-sized crossover, which fits between the E-Pace and F-Pace in terms of size, was designed around a unique aluminium architecture that uses advanced riveting and bonding technologies to make it the stiffest Jaguar ever.

The I-Pace will be priced from A$119,000 when it goes on sale in Australia later this year. In the rear, legroom is 890mm while, with no transmission tunnel, there's a useful 10.5-litre central storage compartment. There are other stowage compartments, too, but fold down the rear seats and the space increases to 1,453 litres.

The vehicle uses the same InControl Touch Pro Duo system as the Range Rover Velar, which means the centre of the dashboard houses two touch screen displays.

It's on these touchscreens that the driver can take advantage of new tech like the EV Navigation feature that will take topography, driving style and more to help optimize the vehicle's range.

The Smart Settings technology learns your driving habits and can configure the auto to your preference, while an Intelligent Phone Reminder will tell you if you've left your phone in the vehicle. "Never before have I been so excited for a launch - the world is watching with great anticipation and I can not wait for the world to see everything we have achieved with this vehicle".

And the I-Pace will even let owners check details of their car's status by simply asking an Amazon Alexa-enabled device a question.
