He appeared to have fully recovered from that injury, scoring 29 points in 25 minutes against the Hawks before McGee fell back onto his left leg in his latest mishap.

Curry, who missed 11 games earlier in the season due to a right ankle sprain, was playing in low top sneakers on Friday for the first time since getting his own signature shoe with Under Armour.

For the limited time it lasted, Curry's return was marvelous as expected. Hopefully for the Warriors the injury isn't serious, but at this point they may be wise to hold him out the rest of the year regardless of the severity.

The Warriors guard made his return from an ankle injury against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday and once again came up hobbled.

"He's as close to 100 percent healthy as can be".

"I definitely do not have an ominous feeling", coach Steve Kerr told reporters. Everything we have been able to address, we've addressed. "I haven't quite planned it out yet, but I think my family and I will take part in the Oakland version". It wasn't directly related to his ankle issues. Any combination of three wins and three Portland losses would guarantee Golden State no worse than the West's No. 2 seed. A week later, Curry endured a gnarly ankle sprain against the Pelicans when he mistimed an attempt to jump the passing lane.

Most of the Warriors will be back before the playoffs begin, but we'll have to see how they respond to this adversity in the meantime. Will that change now that the postseason is on the horizon. These little knick-knack injuries, it's frustrating, obviously, for him.

For the season, Golden State is averaging a league-leading 114.9 points per game, but over their last three games have averaged just 97.3 - fifth worst in the National Basketball Association over that time span. Unfortunately that streak will be broken this year as his regular season will likely be over after playing in 51 games. Curry scored 11 points in the quarter, imbuing life into a previously stagnant Golden State offense. Curry's MCL injury occurred later in the season. By then, the Warriors trailed 14-10, and Curry had missed four of his first five shots, including two 3-pointers.
