One Mega Millions victor on ticket bought in New Jersey

A Mega Millions winning ticket estimated at a whopping $521 million was sold in New Jersey on Friday night.

The jackpot victor will receive a $521 million annuity or a $317 million lump sum, the fourth-largest jackpot in Mega Millions history.

It is the nation's tenth largest lottery jackpot and the fourth time in the game's history where it has exceeded US$500 million.

Lines at convenience stores were several deep throughout Friday, as people got their hands on Mega Millions tickets. A 20-year-old Florida man claimed that prize.

The ticket was sold at Riverdale Lukoil South in Riverdale in Morris County, the New Jersey Lottery tweeted Saturday morning after the winning ticket was announced. The lucky numbers were 59 - 46 - 28 - 11 - 31, Mega Ball 1.

The only other jackpots to reach a higher number than the current are the record-breaking jackpot from 2012, a $648 million jackpot in 2013 (split by winners in California and Georgia) and a $536 million jackpot won in IN in 2016.

Mega millions is one of the biggest jackpots in the country.
