I saw it 117-111 Joshua.

Anthony Joshua needs just one more belt to become the undisputed heavyweight champion.

Defeating Wilder would see Joshua add the WBC belt to his WBA, WBO and IBF honours, but the fight is yet to be formally arranged.

There were two major reasons for the lack of fireworks. Many will question if he is big enough to worry the likes of Joshua.

After Anthony Joshua's labored victory over Joseph Parker, Arab News takes a look at five things we learned from the fight.

This result was New Zealand boxer Parker's first defeat in his 25-fight pro career. Parker has never been stopped and being taken the distance was always on the cards. Joshua is in control of the money, and he can pay the best manager at the moment. Moreover, his left hook was also missing in action.

Parker lands a shot on Joshua. While Joshua is the real deal he is in no way the finished article.

"My strategy was to stick behind the jab and that secured me another world title belt". "It's one of the most important weapons".

"Joe will get a well-deserved rest and I feel like I've gone 12 rounds myself so I'm going to lay low for a while", said Higgins, who is about to go on a brief European holiday. A unification fight with Wilder is the biggest fight on the table and in the sport at the moment. Also, styles make fights and although Wilder can't do all that Parker can, he has weapons like power, reach and awkwardness that could be a stumbling block for Joshua.

"That's the issue when we do these comparisons but you're right, a good Tyson Fury gives any heavyweight a hard fight". If Wilder is interested in fighting Joshua they'll be able to come to terms and consummate a deal.

"The only way to do that would be in the ring against Anthony Joshua, and he should keep those comments to himself".

Should the bout go ahead, both fighters will put their undefeated records on the line.

Eddie Hearn said on Sunday morning that there is a small window of opportunity before Joshua must defend three other belts against mandatory challengers.

"We are prepared to meet as soon as possible, anywhere, anytime, and when I meet Matchroom I will have the authority to make the deal".

Wilder knocked out top contender Luis "King Kong" Ortiz in the 10th round to retain his title for the seventh time on March 3 in NY and is free and clear of any mandatory defense.
