The Trump administration appears to have officially come to a conclusion on whether to respond to an alleged chemical weapons attack in Syria, with the USA president suggesting Wednesday that a missile strike is eminent.

Russian Federation on Tuesday blocked a United Nations resolution on Syria, seeking access to Douma for an investigation. Get ready Russian Federation, because they will be coming, nice and new and "smart!"

"We are aware that the United States carrier battle group led by the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and escorting ships are heading to the Persian Gulf and are scheduled to arrive in about early May", he said.

"The President indicated in a tweet that the bombs would be "smart" and the response a major one". The term was meant to contrast with "dumb" bombs lacking such technology.

The company has seen its share price tumble and deals come under review because the sanctions cut it off from the USA financial system.

But Russia has warned against military action and said it will shoot down rockets fired at its ally.

"Syria is not a nuclear power, but Russian Federation certainly is, and I'm not completely sure Bolton's reasoning won't come into play here as well".

The ruble fell 2 percent against the dollar in morning trading in Moscow and dropped further after Trump tweeted that missiles "will be coming".

"U.S. -Russia relations are getting colder, and statements via Twitter and other proxies raise the risk of miscalculation on both sides", he said. "There is no reason for this", Trump said. Russian Federation needs us to help with their economy, something that would be very easy to do, and we need all nations to work together. "Stop the arms race?" he added in a more reasonable tone.

The measures could affect products from US companies whether they're produced inside or outside Russian Federation, he added.

A spokesman for the Kremlin dismissed Trump's message as a blunt instrument: "We don't take part in Twitter diplomacy- we are supporters of serious approaches", Dmitry Peskov told members of the press.

In the past Trump, has condemned forecasting military plans.

Poznikhir also discussed the US Navy's deployment of an aircraft carrier strike group to the Persian Gulf region and said the movement was being closely monitored. We are totally predictable.

Iran is a key ally of Syrian President Bashar Assad and has sent thousands of troops and allied militiamen to support his forces. We have a news conference.

At this stage it seems that the US and allies like France and Saudi Arabia could begin a strike on Syrian forces within the week.

If Trump fulfills his threat, the most likely targets for attack will be Syrian military or government facilities, Kwiatkowski predicted. Multiple IS attacks have targeted French soil, including one last month. The problem is that no one really knows Trump has actually chose to do it - or not. That strike did not appear to have had the desired effect of deterring Assad from further use of chemical agents.

He says claims of a chemical attack were fabricated and "can't serve as a pretext for any forceful actions".

Zakharova described the allegations as fake, but said the worldwide chemical weapons watchdog should investigate them.

The council failed on Tuesday to approve three draft resolutions on chemical weapons attacks in Syria.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said Wednesday that the sanctions were US protectionism - particularly in the metals sector - in disguise.

Syria has firmly denied any links to the attack, which reportedly killed at least 60 people and wounded more than 1,000 others.

While there has been talk of a meeting between Trump and Putin, it remains unknown whether the meeting will fix problems between the two nuclear powers, and some experts are negative about that possibility.

"The immediate priority is to avert the danger of war", he told reporters.

The Russian commander announced that Moscow was going to deploy military police forces to Douma in order to maintain the town's security. It was not immediately clear whether that visit would delay or avert US or allied military action.

"In the past, such reports came from Syria and were considered an attempt to minimize humiliation over the strikes", the report said.
