Whether in the crowd or watching the livestream, Queen Bey's subjects quickly flooded social media with praise, appreciation, and bewilderment.

Destiny's Child, purveyor of female empowerment and outfit matching goals, reunited on Saturday, April 14 (Sunday, April 15 in Manila), as Beyonce made history by headlining Coachella that day.

Coachella also marked an unusually intimate return for X Japan, megastars of Japanese metal in the 1980s who are planning their first new album in more than two decades this year.

Needless to say, the crowd, and fans at home, went absolutely insane for the trio - and who could blame them?

Before last night they last performed together in 2015 at the Stellar Awards where they sang Say Yes.

Later, the Grammy award victor, 36, staged a Destiny's Child reunion with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

Beyonce had been scheduled to headline the two-weekend music and arts festival a year ago, but had to postpone due to her pregnancy with twins. The singer was forced to take the time to focus on her pregnancy, so festival organizers wanted her comeback to be extra special.

The mind-blowing performance made up for a year ago, when the "Love on Top" singer had to pull out of 2017's festival on doctor's orders because she was pregnant with twins. Watch the former girl group's epic reunion here! She brought out her husband Jay-Z during the performance of "Deja Vu" and did a dance break with her sister, Solange.

"I just wanted to say thank you guys, I'm so happy that I'm here".
