Tanaka was lifted with 91 pitches after a two-out walk in the seventh. He's hitting.291/.356/.494 with four home runs, 10 RBI, and 15 runs scored in 87 plate appearances. Miguel Andujar had a homer and a double, extending his streak with an extra-base hit to seven games. It was that kind of night for the Twins, who dropped their fourth straight as they were drubbed 14-1 by the Yankees in front of 39,249.

The Yankees (12-9) have won three consecutive games for the first time this season, and they've allowed only one run in each of the three victories.

The Yankees outscored the Toronto Blue Jays 23-13 in taking three of four from them over the weekend, so their offense is clicking.

Jose Berrios gets the start for the Twins tonight. The Twins are scoring 4.06 runs per game this year while allowing 4.94 per contest.

The two had previously discussed LaMarre's pitching past - he was forced into action for one inning with the Red Sox back in 2016, where he gave up two hits with no runs and no strikeouts - and with Monday's game already decided, LaMarre toed the rubber once more.

LaMarre's career ERA goes from 0.00 to 5.40, as he's given up one run in 1.2 career innings of work. Hicks popped up and Andujar grounded out, but Tyler Austin hit a two-run homer into the visiting bullpen.

NY has been up and down this season though they did win three of four from the Blue Jays over the weekend.

Odorizzi surrendered four runs to the Indians in five innings last time out, but he had allowed three total in his first two road starts. Babe Ruth (1921) and Alex Rodriguez (2007) are the only other Yankees with that many homers and RBIs in the first 22 games.

Over on the Yankees' side, they're going with LHP CC Sabathia on Tuesday.

Sabathia is 56-33 with a 3.74 ERA, a 1.206 WHIP, 223 walks and 731 strikeouts over the course of 799.1 innings in 123 career starts at Yankee Stadium. Berrios has been very solid so far this season, and Sabathia just isn't as overwhelming as he once was. "I was able to throw it inside - if you stay away, you become predictable, but when you throw it inside consistently, batters see it's there and it opens things up - and because I could do that, I think I was able to effectively use the splitter and slider".

The over is 5-0 in the Twins' last 5 road games and 3-1-1 in Berrios's last five starts on five days of rest.

Slumping Giancarlo Stanton homered in going four for four, while Didi Gregorius hit a grand slam as the Yankees posted their first three-game winning streak under new manager Aaron Boone.
