Kids love the recommended videos in the app-and parents have told us they are also interested in more ways to personalize the app for their specific style.

However for parents who want access to the entire collection on YouTube, that will still be an option, despite the roll out of the newer features.

"Sleep mode" feature live within a parent's main Facebook app but for now though only one parent will have the access to control this feature inside Facebook. When the app is in Sleep Mode, kids can not send or receive messages or video calls, play with the creative camera or receive notifications.

It's been almost five months since Facebook launched the child-focused Messenger Kids. The new feature lets parents set parameters for when their kids can and can't use the app. They can't send or receive messages and video calls, play with the augmented reality camera filters, or receive notifications until Sleep Mode ends. This ensures that they don't have to constantly monitor or change app controls, giving them the peace of mind for their children. Sleep mode offers the same to the parents, where the set off times will make the app inaccessible to kids for the respective time period.

It's just the latest example of a tech company offering some concession to critics who say they should tread carefully - or not at all, when it comes to hawking their wares to kids.

Facebook is under intense scrutiny after last month's scandal involving Cambridge Analytica, a digital consultancy that improperly accessed 87 million Facebook users' data without their consent.

The app is fully dedicated to the Children under the age 13.

Among the new features on YouTube Kids app, Collections will allow parents to choose collections from a particular channel for their children. The app is there to make the kids more productive and this is how they can improve and build up good idea within their minds. Go to the Facebook app and tap on to the Child's app from the profile section. You can set different times for weekdays versus weekends. Alongside using the sleep mode, they can add and remove contacts and even delete and create accounts from the control panel. When they attempt to access the app, they'll come across a message asking them to come back later, and letting them know it's in sleep mode presently.
