Florida Mother, 2 Children die after vehicle hits alligator in SC

An alligator collision killed a mom and her two young kids on Interstate 95 in SC early Monday morning, The Washington Post noted.

Amber Stanley, 2 2-4, along with her kids, Jack, 4, and Autumn, 2, were driving Interstate 95, near the Inter State 26 exit, just earlier 1 a.m. Monday if Stanley's vehicle struck the alligator, " said Sean D. Fogle, " the Chief Deputy Coroner using the Orangeburg County Coroner's Office.

The coroner told WCIV the accident took place when Stanley, who was visiting from Callahan, Florida, hit the alligator as it attempted to cross the road. The SUV then hit a tree and burst into flames. Amber Stanley was killed along with her son, Jack, and daughter, Autumn, from injuries after their vehicle hit a tree and caught fire after colliding with the alligator. "I'll be strolling round and I'll simply, like, see one thing out of the nook of my eye, I am going, "that's Amber, ' and I do know it's not, nevertheless it's simply the very first thing my mind goes to".

Officials with the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating the accident. "Or, some kids say 'dad" or something". Judd Jones told the Associated Press.
