"As long as I am a coach at Manchester City, he isn't going anywhere".

"When we sign a player, we never know for certain if it will work but I think we made it right", Guardiola said to the club's official website.

But Guardiola has said he does not expect to make many changes to his squad in the summer and expects the two to stay.

'I said it last season, I said this season and I say that today.

Guardiola, a Champions League victor with Barcelona during a glittering player career and the architect of City's title success, made a surprise cameo from the bench at the Etihad Stadium.

For City, injured striker Sergio Aguero remains the only confirmed absentee but Guardiola is expected to revert to his usual starting XI one final time after giving the likes of Yaya Toure and Claudio Bravo a run out in midweek.

The champions will arrive at St Mary's in devastating form, looking to become the first ever Premier League side to break the 100 point barrier and add another record to what has been a simply remarkable campaign. "We all want him to stay as long as possible".

"But we are going on holiday in a few days".

Guardiola says the chance to set new records has ensured his players have stayed focused since the title was wrapped up four weeks ago.

He said: "I say not too many because we had a high investment last season".

"Now we are going to change some details". So, one or maybe two. They have been winning at both half time and full time in their last five away matches in the Premier League and have scored at least three times in each of their last three games away from the Etihad.

"I didn't know that but, with all respect, it looks ridiculous to me".

"If they want my medal I will give them medal".

Yet it is lower down the table that the big money is there to be played for this weekend, with Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Watford all battling it out for as much as £10m as they target a 10th place finish. It doesn't matter they don't have medals.
