"Sometimes he draws stuff up, and I look at it, I'm like [confused]", Horford said after the game.

The Sixers hope to ride the momentum of Game 4 behind point guard T.J. McConnell who was inserted into the starting lineup by Sixers head coach Brett Brown.

Game 3: Boston at Cleveland, Saturday, May 19 at 8:30 p.m.

Even when the Sixers found themselves in that 3-0 hole, it wasn't the usual three-game deficit. So games they don't.

"They were clearly the more physical team", Stevens said on Tuesday's conference call.

Apparently, all it took for oddsmakers to decide that the Philadelphia 76ers are deserving of being favored on the road in a closeout game against the Boston Celtics was one victory. The lead changed two more times before the Celtics took a 61-52 lead into intermission.

However, this week is not about the future of the process.

Predictably, the second half got chippy and physical.

And maybe more than just a scare. He missed the first one before hitting the second with 2.4 seconds left.

The Sixers lived in the paint for the second straight game.

Despite his statistics, Embiid has not yet had an overwhelming game. They then fouled Smart on the inbounds pass, and he missed the first foul shot, ensuring Philadelphia could win with a three, then made the second one despite perhaps trying to miss to force a scramble from the Sixers. Playing at home will certainly work to the advantage of the Celtics, but also keep in mind the same can be said about the Sixers being in desperation mode since Brett Brown and company would love nothing more than to make National Basketball Association history by overcoming a 3-0 deficit.

While the young players on Boston's rosters have been huge in Boston's success, Brown said the veteran leadership of Horford has been just as important in helping hold things together throughout the season.

It's nearly too sweet to think that after Philadelphia Eagles knocked off the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl, that another Philadelphia team could stamp a Boston team into the ground with an even more improbable victory.

Time and time again the Sixers showed uncommon resilience.

Boston was coming off a defeat in game four, but managed to impose their will on the 76ers down the stretch in Wednesday's thriller, improving to 7-0 on their home court in these playoffs. Both teams definitely create a lot of matchup problems.

Boston's Al Horford, who has scored in double figures in each of the Celtics' 11 games this postseason (with five double-doubles), said more aggression is expected from a team in the Sixers' predicament.

Believe it or not, despite being down 3-0, the Sixers are very much alive and the expectation here is that they are very capable of making history.
