Among the documents released on Wednesday were transcripts of closed-door interviews with Goldstone, and other participants in the Trump Tower meeting, including Trump Jr., Rinat Akhmetshin, a Russian-American lobbyist, and Ike Kavaladze, a US-based Agalarov representative.

In that committee, Conservatives issued ir own report-without support of Democrats-in which y exonerated Republican president from any Conchabanza with Kremlin, and also rejected idea that Moscow's goal was to help New Yorker Get to White House.

The special counsel is investigating the Russian meddling in the USA election, whether Trump's campaign was involved and possible obstruction of justice.

Lawmakers asked Trump Jr. about the first call between Agalarov and Trump Jr., which took place at 4:04 p.m. ET on June 6, 2016.

Q: "And what about the thing that says, 'It is part of Russian Federation and its government's support for Mr. Trump.' Did you also love that?"

The Trump Tower meeting was arranged by a music promoter, Rob Goldstone, who reached out to Trump Jr saying he had "official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russian Federation and would be very useful to your father".

He continued: "I've heard nothing to contradict anything from the [assessment], particularly in terms of the fact that Russians massively intervened in our elections to the goal of helping Mr. Trump and hurting Hillary Clinton". After small talk about the view from Trump Tower and a recent win in the primaries, the younger Trump got down to business, Akhmetshin said, telling the Russian visitors, "So I believe you have some information for us".

But during that June 2016 meeting with a Russian lawyer, Trump Jr. grew impatient and wound up "cutting off" the Russian lawyer, according to Goldstone's testimony.

The transcripts reveal some new details about how the meeting - a key point of interest in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into potential coordination between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign - came to be arranged and efforts afterward to mitigate the political damage arising from its disclosure.

Trump Jr. responded to Goldstone on the chain, "if it's what you say I love it especially later in the summer".

Trump Jr. made a phone call after speaking with Russian pop star Emin Agalarov about the meeting, but we don't know who it was to because the number was blocked. He also said he didn't think there was anything wrong with attending the Trump Tower meeting in which he was promised dirt on Hillary Clinton. A big question has been whether that was his father, and whether Trump Jr. might have informed his father about the meeting. "He may have entered a minute or so after we all entered, but I believe he was".

The president's son said that, in the end, the information offered at the meeting didn't amount to anything, it was apparent they weren't representing the Russian government and he didn't discuss it beforehand with his father. "This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russian Federation and its government's support for Mr. Trump-helped along by Aras and Emin", Goldstone wrote.

Matt Viser tweeted "Rob Goldstone, who set up the Trump Tower meeting, grew frustrated a year later and vents to his longtime client Emin Agalarov". Chuck Grassley's Senate Judiciary Committee.

After the meeting was disclosed publicly previous year, Trump Jr. initially said its goal was to discuss Russian adoption policy. Veselnitskaya also submitted written answers to the committee.

Trump's allies on Capitol Hill can point to testimony from multiple attendees, including Kushner and Goldstone, that people walked out of the meeting feeling like it was a waste of everyone's time. And I said, neither do you and neither does your father.

In the email exchange, Veselnitskaya was identified as a "Russian government attorney".

It's clear Trump Jr. meant to get opposition research from Veselnitskaya in the meeting, but part of his defense has always been that he was unsuccessful in doing so - that the meeting was a bust.
