Chris Paul dealing with hamstring injury

Paul, who was not available for comment on Thursday, missed 24 games this season with a variety of injuries, including a hamstring. Chris Paul of the Houston Rockets recorded 20 points, 6 assists, and 7 rebounds. "We'll see what happens".

Paul was receiving treatment after the game and did not speak to reporters.

Houston managed to seal the win in his absence down the stretch but there is a real doubt about his chances of playing in Saturday night's Game 6. Houston has outscored the Warriors by 11 points in 47 minutes during the West finals with Harden on the floor and Paul resting.

"The last two games, we've done that".

Houston used only seven players in its Game 5 win, but with Paul out, it may be compelled to play guards Joe Johnson and Aaron Jackson in small doses to prevent Harden, Gordon and Green from getting tired.

Curry missed a floater and Trevor Ariza grabbed the rebound and was fouled with 10 seconds left. At one point, the two had to be held back from going at one another.

But Gordon came up with his steal when Green lost control in the lane and added two free throws with 2.4 seconds left to put it away.

"We was supposed to score", he said. "It's more about chemistry and looking for me, and I've got to be prepared to knock down the shot".

The Rockets honored victims and survivors of the deadly shooting at Santa Fe High School on May 18 before the game.

"Who cares", he said.

However, despite losing, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said: "I feel great about where we are right now".

If successful, Golden State will be forced to win a game on the road at the Toyota Center in hopes to make a fourth-straight NBA Finals. Paul jabbed Curry and stepped back to hit a long 3-pointer.

Curry has been known to shimmy after hitting big shots, and CP3 mocked him over it after the Rockets point guard hit a big 3-pointer late in the third quarter.

With the Rockets clinging to a two-point lead, Gordon sealed the victory at the foul line. The Celtics now lead the Cavaliers 3-2 in the Eastern Conference finals. It's a sight the Houston Rockets are exhausted of seeing.

The series now returns to Houston this evening with the Rockets holding home-court advantage and they know they can ill-afford any slip-ups to reach the NBA Finals.
