USA actress Heather Locklear has been arrested for battery against a police officer and ambulance worker, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office says.

As previously reported, Locklear was taken into police custody at 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, after a family member called 911 to report a "disturbance" at the star's home. She was reportedly "extremely agitated" when police showed up and punched a deputy and later kicked an EMT while paramedics were caring for her. She was taken to the hospital and then to jail, where she is now being held on $20,000 bail. Her bail was set at $20,000.

This is her second arrest for battery of deputies. She later plead not guilty to these four misdemeanor counts of battery in April, according to the Associated Press. Authorities said she was intoxicated. In 2008, she was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of prescription drugs.

Sheriff's deputies responded to two separate calls to Locklear's residence in Thousand Oaks, California. "There's no one that can say we don't", actor Jack Wagner, Locklear's ex, told Extra shortly after her psychiatric hold.

In emergency dispatch audio from that incident, which was obtained by TMZ, a dispatcher claimed that a family member said Heather was "trying to hurt herself and is looking for a gun to shoot herself". She could not be reached for comment as of press time.

The 56-year-old American actress was taken to a hospital and then to jail and booked on two battery counts.

This new problem with the law follows her latest one last week when she threatened to end her life and was hospitalized for a psychological evaluation.
