Just take your photo or video as you normally would on Stories, and where the stickers now are that let you edit the main image - Location, Weather, Polls, etc. - Instagram will be adding a new sticker that will allow you to add some music. Once you choose a track, you can then fast-forward or rewind to find the exact part that you want in your Story.

To celebrate, the app is adding a feature that's likely to generate a lot of excitement among its Stories-loving users: the ability to add musical soundtracks to your posts. Tapping on it opens a library which has thousands of soundtracks where you can either browse or search for your favourite song. Before starting to record a video, users can swipe the new "Music" option on the camera screen right under the record button.

Music will be added through "stickers", which will appear beside location, GIF, and other sticker add-ons. The almost two-year-old feature now boasts 400 million daily users, the company announced on Thursday.

The process of adding music on to your stories is quite simple and similar to Instagram's sticker feature.

Obviously, people who view your story will hear the song playing while they gawk at your photo or video. "They'll also see a sticker showing the song title and artist name". Additionally, the feature is now only in select countries. The ability to choose a song before capturing video is now iOS only.
