Did Maisie Williams just reveal ‘Game of Thrones’ ending?

"Here's to the adventures too come #lastwomanstanding #barely #immasleepforthenextfouryears #justkiddingidontsleep".

Now, it's unlikely that Williams, 21, would leak a major "Game of Thrones" spoiler like that - or that HBO would let her reveal who ends up on the Iron Throne.

Williams' post confirms that she's done filming for Game of Thrones and that she's done playing Arya Stark, a role that put the actress on the map.

Maisie went on to explain how she has never found Game of Thrones misogynistic, despite many criticising it for just that.

Clarke's post was far more pleasing on the eye than William's blood stained shoes, it showcased Belfast's handsome flowers rather than the show's famous gore. Goodbye Arya. Goodbye Game of Thrones. And, by the Game of Thrones philosophy ("you win or you die"), that makes Maisie (not even Arya) the real victor. Maisie Williams, however, seems to be stepping on something very different.

Perhaps more intriguing were the hashtags that Williams used in her message.

"It was really refreshing to see a young girl who was so feisty and confident - she's unlike a lot of other young female characters".

But what does this mean for Arya's fate? Whether she witnessed it as a bystander, or whether she was the one to inflict the pain, blood has followed Arya for a better part of the past seven seasons.

Game of Thrones season 8 is due to broadcast on Sky Atlantic in early 2019.
