Former MTV Jesse Camp missing in California

Camp's family and friends have reported him missing to police, and according to PageSix, the VJ and musician has been off the grid since around July 11.

Former MTV VJ Jesse Camp has gone missing. The circumstances seem unusual, and a police spokesperson told PageSix that Camp's sister stated he had been feeling depressed recently.

Riverside, Calif., police are now investigating the disappearance of former MTV video jockey Josiah Camp, better known as Jesse Camp. He was contacted by a local law enforcement agency on Tuesday.

Marish took to her Instagram story on July 19 to share a plea with her followers for information regarding her brother's whereabouts. Camp, who appeared as an MTV VJ in the late 90s and early 2000s, gained fame after hosting several shows and winning MTV's Wanna Be a VJ contest. A former girlfriend of his also reached out to him by calling his cell, but she says a stranger answered the call and told her that Camp had given him his phone along with three bags of items.

Camp was previously spotted outside the hardware store in April and flagged a police officer down to ask them a question. Friends and family have been in communication on social media sharing various unconfirmed reports of his possible location and reason for being incommunicado, but no contact has yet been confirmed since he was reported missing.
