Origin Access Premier, EA’s unlimited PC games subscription service, launches July 30

EA is adding a new, premium tier to its PC monthly subscription service that adds all new EA games to the library you can access. Meanwhile, Origin Access Premiere takes that one step further, offering even new releases prior to their launch. It, will be, according to them, "a new membership tier that gives you access to the latest and greatest EA games before anyone else". They will get access five days before any title's official release date, as well as full access to EA's back catalogue. But interestingly enough EA is taking a page from the GamePass playbook: before, Origin Access subscribers had to wait until EA rotated new games into the mix. The price of basic accounts will stay the same too, clocking in at $4.99 per month.

KitGuru Says: If you play a lot of EA games, then this could be a very worthwhile subscription. The company has a lineup of flagship titles just waiting to debut: Madden NFL 19, Federation Internationale de Football Association 19, Battlefield V, and Anthem are all set to debut within the next six months. So technically, over time your total cost of ownership could be higher than actually buying the games if you're a long-term user who doesn't download many titles.

Getting an Origin Access Premiere subscription on the other hand, is going to cost significantly more. The current Origin Access will stay the same and be labeled as Basic. However users can choose to upgrade in which some of the benefits listed are access to game trials for unlimited periods of time, 10% discount on the Origin Store (which is also applicable to Basic members), and access to The Vault (another feature available to Basic members). That probably isn't an issue if you only play through a game once-or don't plan to cancel-but it's worth noting.
