A fresh leak purports to show the upcoming Google Pixel 3 XL smartphone that could lure iPhone owners away from their next upgrade come September.

A prototype of Google's Pixel 3 XL has made its way into the wild, corroborating numerous rumours we've heard so far. But it's not just Galaxies and iPhones that are incoming; Google's Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are also set to launch in coming months, which means leaks are hitting the web thick and fast.

If you were a fan of the black and white (panda) Google Pixel 2 XL from a year ago, it unfortunately doesn't look like Google will be bringing back the design with the Pixel 3 XL. The device isn't far from being publicly released, and new pictures of the device's all-white version have been leaked recently. Where before the glass and metal sections on the back of the phone were very sharply defined, here they appear to have been able to match the color of the glass and the metal to an extreme degree - at least on this model.

The phone, however, doesn't boot up, as Google has wiped it remotely. From the looks of these photos, Google is planning the same approach for 2018. In 2017, Google opted to make the Pixel XL 2 in only two colour options: all black or a black/white mix.

The leaker says that the "top part [of the back] is glossy and the bottom is matte" but that it's all "a single part". The fastboot screen does include the codename "crosshatch", though, and it also mentions that the phone has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
