Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is due to launch on August 9 at a special event in NY, but most specifications about the phone are now seen as a given.

The boffins at XDA Developers took some details from the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 and found some new details about how the S Pen will work on the Galaxy Note 9. The S Pen is "all new" and "powerful", too.

However, yesterday, in the United States, the smartphone went into pre-reservation, which highlights the fact that consumers can save up to $450 when they purchase Note 9 if they switch to their current smartphone through the Samsung Trade In campaign.

The Samsung video starts off by touting the power of the Galaxy Note 9. A photo of the rear of the Galaxy Note 9 on the page confirms numerous rumored features. But it does mean a 512GB variant will be available. The video also affirms most of the things that were spotted in the pre-order announcement page. The smartphone will have a microSD card slot as well, allowing further expansion up to 1TB. In terms of battery life, the Galaxy Note 9 is expected to be a significant improvement over its predecessor, thanks to a large 4000mAh capacity battery. The Galaxy Note 9 will also come with Dual Pixel AF and 960fps slow-motion video recording. It is possible that in India, the Note 9 will launch with similar prices, although these would be the MRPs and the market operating price (MoP) could be lower by a few thousand rupees.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 - What will we see for specs? Samsung says that the Note 9 is "1 terabyte ready with expandable memory", and the fine print in that part of the video appears to confirm that Samsung will sell a version of the Note 9 with 512GB of built-in storage.
