Other devices - even those that received the Android P beta - are not yet supported, and will get their own separate updates from their respective manufacturers down the line. You can join a beta test for these features if you've got a Pixel running Android 9, but it will launch officially this fall on Pixel devices. Newer files appear further down, and at the bottom of the list for every phone, you'll find a file named "9.0.0 (PPR1.180610.009, Aug 2018)".

Those that have the Essential Phone and have yet to see the update notification pop up can always head into the settings menu, enter the system settings, and tap "update". Android Pie is now rolling out to Pixel devices, plus the Essential Phone.

You might have to wait a bit for shipping, but it's likely you'll be able to get your hands on one that month.

YouTube creators and marketing agencies use Famebit as a middle ground to coordinate sponsored content. Brandon Lee of AndroidPolice and YouTube channel This is Tech Today identified a posting on Famebit requesting promotion for the Pixel 3.

"We're also working with a number of other partners to launch or upgrade devices to Android 9 this year". We hope so, because that's what Google is serving up today. It has now published the August Android security update for a small coterie of Pixel and Nexus handsets.

Coming this fall is a new Android Pie feature called Slices. If not, be sure to read the instructions on Google's website very closely before you attempt it.

App Actions also predict what users are going to do next based on the "context and displays that action right on your phone".

An app timer is kind of like parental controls, but for yourself, because you can't stop using your smartphone?

There's also a dashboard feature similar to Apple's new Screen Time controls in iOS 12, which breaks down exactly how much time you're spending in each app on a daily basis.

You can activate the Wind Down feature so that at night, as you get close to bedtime, your device goes into Do Not Disturb mode and your screen fades to grayscale to help you disconnect.
