The former "Celebrity Apprentice" star said Mr. Trump "absolutely" lies all the time, and she isn't sure if he lied during his call with her.

She was all about Trump when he made her famous.

But she told Chuck Todd on Sunday local time that she was later able to hear a recording of Trump during a trip to Los Angeles.

Here's Trump in September 2016 at a rally in Detroit: "Omarosa, who's actually a very nice person, but I don't want to say that because I'll destroy her image by saying that".

Then Director of Communications for the White House Public Liaison Office Omarosa Manigault Newman listens during the daily press briefing at the White House, Oct. 27, 2017, in Washington, DC. Nasty to people & would constantly miss meetings & work.

"General Kelly came to me and said that you guys wanted me to leave", she replies.

"Whether it's thirty pieces of silver or a seven-figure book advance for you, your publicist, your ghost-writers and others, all that's changed is this book deal and her being fired, so I think he probably feels very betrayed", Conway said. On Manigault-Newman's tape of the conversation, released Sunday, Kelly is heard citing "significant integrity issues" as the reason for her firing.

He added that while it was "not presidential" to attack her, he was doing so because he believes the media will be trying to make her "look as legitimate as possible".

The most revealing line in Trump's tweet storm is his statement that he told Gen. Kelly to try to retain Omarosa in spite of how terrible she was because "she only said GREAT things about me". The conversation she had with the president, the conversation I had with the president, John Kelly, these are all private, ' he said.

Aired on NBC's Today show, it is purportedly an excerpt of a phone conversation between Trump and Manigault Newman after she was sacked from the White House. "What happened?" Trump is heard asking.

On Friday, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders released a statement condemning the book.

The Associated Press purchased a copy of the book ahead of its release.

"No ... I, I, nobody even told me about it", the president responds. He could not go into specifics about why she was sacked or how she was able to get a recording device in the room.

And she says Manigault Newman's decision to share the recording during a Sunday television appearance to promote her new book "further proves the lack of character and integrity of this disgruntled former White House employee".

Also on "Fox & Friends" Monday, Giuliani defended Trump and said Manigault-Newman's recording of conversations between herself and Trump and Kelly was a violation of national security rules. The Post obtained copies of what Manigault Newman said was the job offer and the companion agreement. They don't walk in and say to the president, "So and so leaked something", or "So and so is fighting with this one in the White House". I just saw in the news that you're thinking about leaving. "If she broke federal law, she should be prosecuted", McDaniel tweeted.

In the latest release, President Donald Trump can be heard expressing surprise that she had been been fired from his administration a year ago.
