Lyric McHenry, 'EJNYC' Reality Star, Dead at 26

The publication stated she was discovered dead on a pavement at around 5am in the Bronx area of NY last night.

According to the New York Daily News, McHenry, who was 20 weeks pregnant, was dressed in a pajama top and underwear but no trousers. She died at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital and police have said they suspect she suffered an overdose.

"Lyric's warmth, compassion and energy will be missed by many and the family would appreciate that all speculation surrounding the circumstances of death cease until the real facts are determined during the current investigation by the NYPD and the City of NY", the family's statement reads.

A 26-year-old pregnant woman who once worked as a reality TV star for E! was found dead on a Highbridge sidewalk, police say.

The reality star was reportedly celebrating her birthday on Monday night and posted several stories on her social media pages chronicling her night on the town. She was 20 weeks pregnant.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine her exact cause of death.

Among locations McHenry had visited with friends and including her sister, Maya, through the course of the evening was the Frederick Hotel in Tribeca, SoHo Grand Hotel and the Dream Downtown.

Lyric's mother Jennifer had posted a sweet birthday message for her daughter last week on Instagram, writing, "Happy 26 years my attractive princess Lyric Leigh".

McHenry was constantly posting photos of herself living what seemed to be a fabulous life and often posed with her pal, EJ Johnson.

Her reported death comes hours after she celebrated her birthday during a night out with friends.

EJNYC lasted for one season on E! and featured EJ and a slew of his close friends in Manhattan.

Before her television debut, the Stanford graduate worked for the Obama presidential campaign, according to her Instagram account. "I love you ❤️ #leoseason #teamthis". She then went on to work as an associate producer for Complex before becoming a freelance writer and producer.
