Arsenal striker makes big demand from Emery

It's not a Premier League season without a goalkeeping controversy after one game.

It remains to be seen whether Cech, who was named captain against City, will retain his place in goal when Arsenal visit his former club Chelsea on Saturday or if Leno will be handed his competitive debut.

Emery went with Matteo Guendouzi in the holding position against City and the youngster put-in an encouraging display but I think he'll be the man to make way against the Blues on Saturday.

The jokes ensued way past the original post with many being sympathetic to the Arsenal goalkeeper, quick to highlight that Cech has won more Champions League trophies that Bayer Leverkusen itself.

Earlier TUKO.co.ke had reported how Arsenal manager Unai Emery explained that his wards did not play well against Premier League champions Manchester City in their first 2018/19 EPL encounter. "Whether that means he's got the players already or he's going to have to bring them in throughout three or maybe four transfer windows, I believe he should get that and we should judge him then".

"His first game against City was always going to be hard".

Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from their opening day defeat with a positive result against their London rivals, and all eyes will be on Cech, as the experienced stopper looks to prove that he is still good enough to cut it at the very highest level.

"You can't judge them just on that game on Sunday". "I believe in our team". Mendy carried the ball forward from inside his own half, played a one-two with Sterling on the left wing, got to the byline and cut the ball back for Bernardo Silva, who fired the ball into the net.

"They need more structure, but Emery has been there, what, six weeks really", Laurens added.

Ospina is reportedly desperate to play more first-team football, and Besiktas looked the most likely landing spot, although talk of that move seems to have cooled.
