Despite the load of hate that Ariana Grande copped following the untimely passing of her boyfriend of nearly two years, Mac Miller, a friend of the rapper insists that Grande was nothing but a support to him. Rather, Powers says that the singer was "incredible" in her support of Miller during his struggles with addition. "She was a f-king G to him ..."

He also said that "There was no one in [Mac's] life more ready to go to the wall for him when it came to him being sober,".

On the 10th of September episode, Shane claimed Ariana was genuinely trying to help Miller out, however, unfortunately, her efforts weren't enough to save his life.

On his podcast "The Shane Show", Powers called Grande "an unbelievably stabilizing force in [Mac's] life", praising her for helping the rapper get sober. "Because whether he's an addict or not, the way that Mac partied was not healthy". Now, a close friend of Miller's has revealed that Grande was actually really supportive of Miller getting clean and that's why she was a great girlfriend to him.

Ariana, who became engaged in June, has kept her mourning private since Mac's death.

Puth took to his social networking sites after the news of Miller's passing surfaced online last week and admitted he was so "happy" he got to know him. He was 26. The cause of death is "deferred", according to his death certificate.

Investigators performed the autopsy and released the body back to his family, but the cause won't be announced until the toxicology test results are finalized, Los Angeles County coroner's spokeswoman Sarah Ardalani said.
