Though the official announcement of the phone is due October 3, the company revealed some details about the phone - including photos and a video - on its Korean website. A new, official-looking render from renowned leaker Even Blass and a video from LG expose the handset in all its glory, showing us what to expect when it's unveiled next week.

In the video, you can clearly see the phone's rear triple-camera setup. The shape and size of the notch are similar to the G7, but there are two front-facing cameras in it. The flagship phone will be unveiled in NY on October 3, as well as on October 4 in Seoul. This results in a matte finish that, according to LG, feels softer, is harder to scratch, and should be less of a fingerprint magnet.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor is rumoured to run the device, with 6GB of RAM on board too.

Earlier this month, LG teased the camera features of the phone.

LG says the V40 ThinQ will have a reinforced glass back that has been treated with a "Sand Blast" technique.

Although LG has not discussed every feature the V40 ThinQ will come packing, Android fans will not have to wait long to see what the South Korean firm has in store for its newest flagship.

The main sensor is 40-megapixels, the monochrome is 20 megapixels and the telephoto is 8-megapixels.

LG also confirmed the phone will have a 6.4-inch display and that it will initially be available in three colors: New Platinum Grey, Moroccan Blue, and Carmine Red.
