Well, that day is finally here as the rapper announced the release date of his long-awaited album Tha Carter V.

Making a bold statement, another user tweeted: "If Lil Wayne think the world gonna cancel all 2018 albums just because of Carter V then he's absolutely right". So Friday morning at 12:01 AM, expect plenty of Wayneheads to be shedding tears of joy.

As we know, the album's release is a big victory for Weezy and his fans as it comes following friction and legal battles with Birdman and his label, Cash Money Records. Wayne famously sued the latter for $51 million in order to be released from his contract.
