The Dodgers have scored their first seven runs of this series off of home runs.

During the first inning against the Atlanta Braves, Machado put the Dodgers up 2-0 with a moon shot to left field.

Dodgers rookie left-hander Caleb Ferguson pitched a ideal eighth, striking out two.

In their first two games of the National League Divisional Series, the Braves could neither score nor defeat the Dodgers out in Los Angeles, enduring a pair of back-to-back shutout losses. During the press conference Dave Roberts, most likely annoyed with all the questions about their recent performance, said, "When it's all said and done, the Dodgers will be at the top of the division.", he was right.

Kershaw often has started on short rest in recent postseasons, but the Dodgers don't plan on that this time. Ryu has quietly been one of the best second half starting pitchers in the NL.

And even though Kershaw is less overpowering than he has been in the past, with a strikeout total lower than his innings pitched for the first time since 2013, he has been a handful when getting an extra day of rest like he will have Friday.

It was the Dodgers' second consecutive shutout in the series after earning a 6-0 victory in Game 1 on Thursday.

Acuna and fellow rookie Ozzie Albies were held in check, as were veterans Freddie Freeman and Nick Markakis. "That's the biggest thing for me".

Slugger Matt Kemp added, "We got a lot of guys who can get the job done". Ryu was unbelievable at Dodger Stadium, with a 1.15 ERA and a.896 WHIP. "I mean, not necessarily by choice, not that I wanted to do it". "He'll still be in play", Roberts said.

Ryu is eager to make a mark after not pitching in the postseason since 2014, having been injured for most of the 2015 and '16 seasons.

"I think they were jacked up and excited, and it's a big moment to this point in their career, Folty included".

Sean Newcomb, mentioned by Snitker before Thursday's game as a possibility to start Game 3 on Sunday, was the first pitcher out of the bullpen and went two innings.

"And I think guys now, since we have experienced it, they've been through a lot, they've come back a lot all year", he said. But 163 has got to be somewhere between a regular game and a playoff game.

"I don't think too much about the pitchers that I'm going to face". Rich Hill as well has not set the league on fire but has been a reliable starter throughout the year. "I want my teammates to want me out there".

The Dodgers kept their lineup intact in facing their second straight right-hander.

"I'm happy that I was able to keep my promise that I would go full-throttle from the get-go", Ryu said through a translator. Kershaw was stellar. The future Hall of Famer dominated in the playoffs with one of the more aesthetic outings of his career.
