Meanwhile Brie Larson is said to have landed a hefty $5 million for Captain Marvel; the sweetener for the studio being that her contract ties her in to up to seven movies.

Celebrity snoopers from the New York Post say Scarlett Johansson of "Avenger" fame recently purchased a 4,000-square-foot Washington Spring Road estate in Sneden's Landing for $4 million.

Johansson's Black Widow payday will reportedly match the salary earned by Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth for each of their respective performances as Captain America and Thor in Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers 4, and in their latest solo films Civil War and Ragnarok.

In comparison, Robert Downey Jr. was paid around $700,000 for the first Iron Man film.

Black Widow is one of the oldest Avengers in the MCU. Chadwick Boseman, on the other hand, reportedly agreed to a $2 million deal to star in Black Panther, while he is expected to be paid much more for the impending sequel.

A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Evans first played Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, in "Captain America: The First Avenger" in 2011.
