Rapper Kanye West speaks with Ivanka Trump after meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington, DC, on October 11, 2018. But, when the National Football League great left the White House he told throngs of media that couldn't be further from the truth.

CNN's Dana Bash and Nia-Malika Henderson react to the comments West made during a 10-minute rant in the Oval Office.

Chappelle, who called Kanye a "genius", said he doesn't have to agree with everything the star says to support him and applauded him for his consistency and pure intentions.

"If you want to be conservative, if you want to support Donald Trump, that is your business", he said.

The speech was seemingly impromptu and left many people in the store confused.

Kanye also said he would like Trump to ditch talk about persuading police in Chicago to institute "stop and frisk" policies to crack down on crime and violence. "What I saw was a minstrel show today", Lemon said.

Earlier Thursday, Trump told "Fox and Friends" Thursday that West is "a different kind of guy and that's OK with me". "... It hurts us as people, specifically black people, the idea", she quotes him as saying, "because we say, was America ever great for us?"

TMZ reports that Ye bestowed Trump with a pair of Yeezy trainers - in a size 12, apparently - and a custom hat which played on the White House incumbent's infamous line of Make America Great Again hats.

During his visit with Trump, Kanye mentioned Apple in the context of telling Trump he wanted to build an "iPlane" to replace Air Force One. Unlike many other news organizations, we have not put up a paywall.

"A liberal would try to control a black person through the concept of racism, because they know we are very proud, emotional people", he said.

National Football League legend Jim Brown also attended the meeting.

West and Chappelle's friendship dates back to Mr. Kim Kardashian's first televised performance on Chappelle's Comedy Central show in 2004. "It's like Trump is sitting across from his Twitter account in real life", he also said.

Ahead of a private lunch, the US President and West spoke with reporters as they sat across from each other at the Resolute desk.
