Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 8110 4G Banana Phone Launched in India

HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, has announced the roll out of Android 9 Pie on EISA's Consumer Smartphone of the Year, the Nokia 7 Plus.

Talking about the specs, the Nokia 8110 4G features a 2.45-inch QVGA display, a slider design (to answer and end calls), and a curved body. The display also has toughened glass for protection against scratches.

The Nokia 3.1 Plus, which ships with Android Oreo pre-loaded, features a 6-inch display, dual rear cameras, a 3500mAh battery and is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor.

For imaging this phone is armed with Dual main cameras of 13MP with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and secondary camera of 5MP with f/2.4 aperture.

On the front, the phone sports an 8-megapixel selfie camera with AI enabled bokeh mode.

Nokia 3.1 Plus comes with 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS + GLONASS connectivity options. The device goes on sale from 19 October. The company kept the price lower as compared to the global price of EURO 159 which is around Rs 13,000 plus on conversion.

The Nokia 7.1 Plus comes in Baltic Blue, Blue and White colors.

As for the pricing, the Nokia 8110 4G has been priced at Rs 5,999, and will be available in black and yellow colour variants.

Last year, tugging on the nostalgia train, the company had also unveiled a refreshed version of its iconic feature phone Nokia 3310.

HMD Global is also advertising two days of battery life; even if the phone doesn't make it that far, its larger 3,500mAh battery should be plenty. Our unit has 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of onboard storage. The new Nokia 3.1 Plus is a derivative of this product-making mindset and it impresses.

Advances in machine learning and AI features, such as Adaptive Battery and App Actions, ensure smarter resourcing of power and processing and accelerate smartphone functionality. There is no fingerprint scanner but it has a 3.5mm audio jack and a more than sufficient 4000mAh battery.
