The new Galaxy A9 joins the recently launched Galaxy A7 (2018) Rs.23,990, which introduced the first Galaxy A-Series innovation in the camera department by featuring a triple rear camera setup. And now today, Samsung has went a step ahead by announcing Samsung Galaxy A9 - world's first smartphone with a whopping four rear cameras. It is thought that the smartphone will come with four camera sensors on the rear.

Then there's a telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom and ultra wide 120 degree 8-megapixel camera which allows users to get more detail packed into their pictures.

The third sensor is the main camera with 24-megapixel resolution and f/1.7 aperture.

Finally, the phone has a 5-megapixel portrait lens that shoots images with a low depth of field. On the front, you'll find a 24MP, f/2.0 selfie camera. The Galaxy A9 (2018) also supports Bixby, Samsung Pay and Samsung Health apps as seen on other high-end Galaxy devices.

Well, the Samsung Galaxy A9 has been designed for the "Instagram generation". Is this practical or just a marketing ploy?

Apart from the four-camera setup, Galaxy A9 2018 offers mid-range level specifications. The phone has 3D Glass back and an aluminum frame that makes it look gorgeous, especially with the two Gradient color options. The best thing about Galaxy A9 is that Samsung has not compromised on any spec, even after inducing the quad-camera.

There's also a 24MP camera at the front.

The Galaxy A9 (2018) bears 128GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 512GB).

Inside the Galaxy A9 you will find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor with 6GB or 8GB of RAM (varies depending upon operator/region). However, a new Geekbench listing has now revealed the phone to be called as Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) which carries a model no. SM-A9200.

On the battery side, the Galaxy A9 comes with a fast charging 3,800 mAh battery, and also charges via a USB-C port. We will be sure to update the post once we receive more information, but let us know in the comments if you plan to pick up Samsung's latest mid-range smartphone.
