Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes Aaron Ramsey could still stay at Arsenal, even though he acknowledged the midfielder is now in a position of power as he enters the final year of his deal. However, it seems one of Arsenal's star could be joining the Gunner's arch-rivals.

With the likes of Juventus also keen to sign the player, Arsenal fans will be hoping that the midfielder turns down Premier League interest to move overseas, but that may not be the case. Ramsey has made his decision that he won't leave the club in the January transfer window.

The Welsh global had been close to agreeing to a new deal but Arsenal recently withdrew their offer amid input from head coach Unai Emery.

"We tried that [agreeing a new deal] before and it still can happen", Wenger told reporters.

Jurgen Klopp strengthened his midfield options last summer with the arrival of Naby Keita and Fabinho but with James Milner coming towards the end of his career, the Liverpool boss could be eyeing Ramsey as the ideal replacement. So it means he has indirectly alerted all the clubs that he might be available for free next summer.

However, the report says Mourinho will urge Man Utd chiefs to do all they can to land Ramsey ahead of Liverpool as the Portuguese coach is a long-term admirer and feels the Welshman would be a great addition to his squad.

Ramsey would likely demand huge wages were he to join United.
