Apple has provided a select pool of YouTubers with the iPhone XR, ushering in the first round of video reviews.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Apple iPhone XR packs a 12-megapixel (f/1.8) primary camera on the rear and a 7-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

The iPhone XR will be available in South Africa on October 26.

Apple's latest iPhone will be available for pre-order starting from today and once delivered, Ooredoo users simply have buy a new Shahry or Qatarna subscription and the free data will be automatically activated.

The iPhone XR will be available for purchase in Israel on November 1, while the following countries will get the phone a day later: Armenia, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Macau, Maldives, Myanmar, Ukraine and Vietnam.

Several weeks after the iPhone XS and XS Max went on sale, we're finally getting closer to the release of the iPhone XR.

It will, however, come in a 128GB model - along with 64GB and 256GB options - which is said is the ideal storage option for a smartphone.

Apple says the iPhone XR will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB models in white, black, blue, yellow, coral and (PRODUCT) RED starting at £749 from apple.com and Apple Stores. It's not all bad news though: one camera advantage of the XR over the XS is that you don't need to back up as far when taking Portrait photos since there's only one lens being used, and all depth recognition is being done via software rather than the dual-lens hardware.

Are traditional reviews still coming next week or is this as much as we'll learn before consumers get their hands on the iPhone XR next Friday?

Like the iPhone Xs, the iPhone Xr does not have any home button and relies on Face ID for biometric authentication. It comes powered by the all-new 7nm Apple A12 Bionic chip featuring a 4-core GPU, 6-core CPU, and a dedicated 8-core Neural Engine.
