It has been a fine start to the season for Chelsea, who, having finished seventh in the Premier League last season under Antonio Conte, have made an unbeaten start to the season and now sit just two points behind reigning champions Man City.

Chelsea are on the verge of qualifying for the Europa League knockout stages after winning their first three matches despite using Hazard only sparingly in the competition so far.

Last term he played well for Crystal Palace, and has also made his mark at worldwide level.

BATE started strongly and came within a whisker of taking an early lead as former Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb teed up Dmitri Baga for a long-range strike which crashed against Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga's post.

As a result, Sarri believes it is best for him to play in Borisov and regain his rhythm.

I was delighted when we signed him.

Eden Hazard is the surprise inclusion in Sarri's Matchday squad having missed the previous three matches, but Alvaro Morata and Cesc Fabregas have not been risked.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri on unbeaten record: "I am very proud to be the coach of this team". We didn't play very well. And so, for his confidence, I think it's very important.

Giroud said after the game: 'Tonight we have done the job even if we could and should have been more efficient, but we kept a clean sheet as well against a good team.

Chelsea ran out 3-1 winners at Stamford Bridge thanks to a hat-trick from Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The home side quickly won a corner and the Chelsea stopper had to be alert to keep out Stanislaw Drahun's header, but the two chances resulted in Chelsea becoming more assured on the ball.

But Pep Guardiola's men lost their opening Champions League fixture to Lyon while the Blues defeated Liverpool in the Carabao Cup.

BATE have managed just two wins in their last 15 Europa League games (D5 L8), scoring 13 goals and conceding 33.
