It's hard for Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) to get into the swing of being Spider-Man in the latest Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse clip released by Sony.

Two weeks ahead of the December 14 premiere of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, The Hollywood Reporter revealed the Sony is already working on a sequel to the highly-anticipated animated film.

Sony has hired Avatar: The Last Airbender TV/DC video 'toon veteran Joaquim Dos Santos to direct the follow-up, which has its plot details naturally shrouded in mystery for now but will be hinted at in the first film. But their teaching session is cut short by the interruption of one other spider-hero: Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld). Yes, even better than Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming, in the opinions of many! It's a fun way of bringing back a beloved character who was famously fridged when Peter failed to save her, and her return as Spider-Gwen, as she's nicknamed by comics fans, has been applauded since she made her debut in 2015. Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the creative team behind Spider-Verse, are expected to be involved although a deal with them is still to be announced.
