And following a shoulder injury which kept him out of action for the last three games, he is reportedly not part of the 76ers' long-term plans anymore.

Here they go again - at this point, it seems like the Sixers should just move on from Fultz but it's not going to be that easy. "My focus is to get him healthy".

Trading Fultz for Korver would make sense then, especially as they have similar salaries for this season and next season when Korver's deal expires. He has been nursing a shoulder injury and saw a specialist last week, though sources with knowledge of Fultz's thinking told The Athletic he "would prefer a fresh start with a new team".

Fultz has missed his last three games and has not played or practiced since Tuesday when his agent announced that the top pick in the 2017 National Basketball Association draft would be seeing a specialist in NY.

Although there had been rumblings of trade interest from various teams, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski revealed the Sixers have "stopped listening to trade overtures" for McConnell. "The Sixers keep saying they will do whatever is best for Fultz, but the situation has overshadowed the success the team has had this season". The 20-year-old is averaging 8.2 points in 19 games this season. Not to mention, before Fultz even ruled himself out from the team, he was losing his minutes to point guard, T.J. McConnell.

Fultz has not played since November 19. Avoiding paying the $9.7 million Fultz is owed next season would also allow them to re-sign Butler and try to acquire another top free agent.
