Nathaniel Clyne joins Bournemouth on loan

Solanke will now slot into the Cherries squad as a direct replacement for Glasgow Rangers-bound Jermaine Defoe after penning a "long-term" contract.

Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne has joined Bournemouth on loan until the end of the season.

England Under 21 global Solanke hoped his move to Merseyside would present more opportunities than were on offer at former club Chelsea.

The worry amongst Bournemouth fans will be that the arrival of Solanke could pave the way for Callum Wilson to leave the club, with Chelsea known to be massive admirers of the England global.

According to a Sky Sports report, the 27-year-old England global, who has only four Premier League bow in the current campaign will help Bournemouth's injury situation with Simon Francis and Adam Smith out on the sidelines.

"I've spoken to the manager and we've talked about what we can achieve this season". The 26-year-old has been the key man up front for Bournemouth this season and would surely love a crack at moving to a bigger club if offered the chance this month. He is a really nice guy.

Solanke, who moved to Anfield in the summer of May 2017 for an undisclosed compensation fee as a former academy player, and made 27 appearances in his first season but has yet to feature in the current campaign.

England worldwide Clyne has arrived in a loan deal until the end of the season, and is available for Saturday's FA Cup third round tie against Brighton.
