Shot in darkness, the video appears to show what at first is a tablet, but with that tablet later folding at two hinges, revealing something more akin to a phone. Captioning the video Blass noted, "Can't speak to the authenticity of this video or device, but it's allegedly made by Xiaomi, I'm told". It's entirely possible the device shown in the video is fake, so it's best to neuter one's expectations. After Samsung, we were expecting many other Smartphone makers to bring their foldable devices but looks like Xiaomi has already begun the race. Naturally, Xiaomi has not given any teasers out or has confirmed the existence of a foldable smartphone to anyone. We can also see certain lags and app crashes when the handset is folded, which indicates that the device has not yet reached the final stages. How do the folded parts of the screen function when on the "back" of the smartphone? If the latest leak is to be believed, then Xiaomi's foldable phone is also not far away. The Chinese phone major plans to come out with a three-panel foldable phone.

It's not bound if this is often really a Xiaomi device, as well as a shipping product. there's some proof to support the leak, though. Its upcoming lineup is more interesting, and Xiaomi is expected to carry the No. 1 Smartphone Brand in India crown again in 2019.

In a video tweeted by renowned tipster Evan Blass, what looks like a tablet running on top of MIUI 10 can be seen folded and wrapped around its back from either side to form a smartphone that can be easily pocketed.

Rather than fold inwards like Samsung's design, with an extra display eliminated once the device is in phone mode, the Xiaomi seems to follow Royole's method of folding outwards as the FlexPaidoes.
