"I know you. It's just a rumour", she allegedly replied.

Even before the host cleared the air, Alison took to her Instagram Story to make it clear that she did not believe the "rumors" about Chrissy's alleged b-word comment.

Welp, consider that fleeting drama done and dusted.

Some people on Twitter claimed Metz called Alison Brie a "b--" on the carpet.

Chrissy Metz is denying reports that she made a major live-TV no no.

Metz added that Brie is "somebody that I really revere" and shared that she and Brie had "already texted about" the gossip.

"It's terribly unfortunate anyone would think much less run a story that was completely fabricated!" she said linking out to a story about the incident on Us Weekly, which has since been deleted. "I have a lot of layers on the show, and it looks very '80s when it's just down on its own, so we've just gathered the longer layers and put them up and swept my bangs out of my face but kept my texture in it". "When I was walking up they said, 'Do you know Alison, ' and I said, 'Oh boy, do I.' I love her". Metz said, "Do I?" after which Gibson said, "I hear she's at the other end of the carpet".

"I don't speak about anyone like that I don't speak like that. Rumors can't keep us down!"

Metz was being interviewed on the red carpet when, toward the end, the 38-year-old was asked to help introduce Brie who was gearing up to be interviewed on the other end of the carpet. So I'm glad that ... "I know her. I saw her on the carpet and I told her how lovely she looked".

In a statement, a rep for Metz also said: "Chrissy never said that".

Last night's 76th Golden Globes Awards show was no different.
