Sky Sports News understands Barcelona have proposed a deal that would see William depart for the Nou Camp with Malcolm coming the other way, but Sarri says it is "impossible" for Willian to leave Stamford Bridge this month.

Barca reportedly bid £55m for the player in July, only for Chelsea to rebuff the offer.

The 21-year-old right wing has only played 363 minutes for Barca, however, scoring only two goals while suffering a pair of short-term injuries.

Barcelona has been mooted as a possible destination, with Blaugrana flop Malcom rumoured to be part of a potential deal to take the player to Catalunya.

Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has dismissed reports linking Brazilian forward, Willian with a move away from Stamford Bridge to join Barcelona this January transfer window. That Barcelona are also willing to offer cash in addition to the young winger, bringing the valuation of the deal to around £50 million, makes it an appealing prospect. The Chelsea head coach also reiterated Willian's importance as a wide man to the squad.

"As you know very well I am not in control of the transfer market", Sarri told a press conference today. "I think he can do better, because the potential is higher, but he's very important for us, so I think it's impossible to lose him in January". Sarri cites off-the-ball movement and penalty box instinct as areas for improvement for the Brazil global.

"Usually he wants ball on the feet, so I think he can improve in movements without the ball", Sarri said.
