Alemany said: 'At the moment we are negotiating with several clubs the departure of Michy Batshuayi.

The Belgian global had a fairly unsuccessful spell with the La Liga side, scoring just three goals from 23 appearances in all competitions.

Alemany's comments suggest Batshuayi will be loaned out to a different club rather than return to Stamford Bridge, even if Chelsea are struggling with striker problems of their own. "I've played with him and I know what he could do. He is leaving and it's now a matter of negotiation", he stressed.

It seems Batshuayi's race in Spain is in fact run however, with Alemany confirming on Thursday that he expects the 25-year-old to leave Mestalla imminently.

Sources at Galatasaray revealed to Turkish-Football that Batshuayi is a target and that the club will launch an official loan bid once his contract with Valencia is terminated.

According to the Mirror, Everton, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Marseille have all expressed an interest in signing the Blues striker, with £14million the quoted price to sign him on a permanent basis.

Meanwhile, Cesc Fabregas' anticipated move to Monaco is still to be completed, with Chelsea seeking a replacement.

With Chelsea linked with big money moves for Gonzalo Higuain, it would appear the writing is on the wall for their former Marsielle striker.

Batshuayi's last match for Valencia came in their defeat against Spanish second tier side Sporting Gijon in the Copa del Rey, in which he was substituted at half time by Valencia manager Marcelino.
